UK blacklists Medical Graduates from 9 Nigerian Universities

GMC says the schools no longer meet accepted standards of practice in the UK.
Medical graduates from nine universities in Nigeria will no longer be able to obtain licenses to practice in the United Kingdom, following a decision by the UK's General Medical Council (GMC) to ban the higher institutions.

The GMC, a body of independent regulators which registers medical doctors to practise in the UK, took the decision to bar graduates from the nine universities from writing PLAB.

PLAB is the UK exam that enables non-UK Medical graduates to undertake post-graduate medical training in the country.

Governor T.A Orji's 2011 Christmas Message, The Remix (Video Inside)

I so so love this creator of this video. The people of Abia need to be rescued from whatever has held them bound. For the past 6 years of Governor T. A. Orji's administration, things get worse. Surely I will not say he is incapable but I sure believe there might be forces (physical and spiritual) hindering the progress of the state.

I really wish he and his cabinet sees this video. This will initiate the change the state desires. God bless Abia State. God bless Nigeria.

BlackBerry Gist

Blackberry phones, one of the wonders of the 21st Century. Y'all heard me right. Interestingly, the BB as it is usually called has made the world of social media much more closer and interconnected as well as a good means for savings for call (so users argue but sure it is true), article of ostentation, more more more. Nonetheless the plenty plenty yarns (as my Nigerian people would say) that flies with the BB is wow!

Your heart might pound at an excessive rate if you dwell solely on the news that fly around the blackberry. A broadcast of two days ago about a robbery will still be spread over and over without the senders and subsequent readers (that will become new batch of senders) trying to understand the origin and the need for such messages. Interestingly, the extent of propaganda that fly around. Some weeks back it was a picture of an advanced stage of cervical cancer, trust Naija story tellers! It soon became an aftermath punishment for an aristo chic for sleeping with an Alhaji for huge sums of naira, (mind you different broadcasts had different naira figures it quoted).

"There's a robbery on third mainland bridge, please take an alternative route." This was received genuinely at about 6am Monday morning and at around 6pm some fellows are still broadcasting it. Haaahahahahahaah, all na gist na! Job vacancies that have long expired with find their way been circulated through the BBM.

Gossip galore... If we take our time to see what we all discuss on our BBMs, eyes will shed blood. What's the fun if not all these gists. Nonetheless the stories unfold and if you might decide to snoop into someone's messages, mehn, you are sure to see a shocker.

I need not over flog this matter on the BBM, after all all seriousness and no play play dulls our life and kills us with boredom. The next time you receive a broadcast kindly double check before sending out and also mind the people you are sending it to. Cheers.
