MANSTYLE; UPGRADE YOUR WARDROBE

It’s a daunting task being on top of the style game and not to mention expensive, however, the trick is to think classic and not trends (which would go away later). Guys these are a few ideas to inject some zest into your wardrobe without breaking bank;
1.      A black suit. Everybody needs a good one. It can take you from work to the club and beyond, and can be dressed up or down. Think classic cuts like 2-button, slim fitting (very important). The fit is absolutely essential and little details like visible stitches can add character.

1.      A white shirt. Absolutely a must have and it is very versatile. Pair it with you suit for work or with jeans and sneakers for a day with the boys

1.      A great pair of blue jeans. This is a must have, and it is usually very flattering for a casual look. Dress it down with a Tee or dress it up with a shirt and a crested blazer for a relaxed evening look. There are different cuts, from boot cuts to skinny (for the brave). However, the straight cut is a classic

1.      A cardigan. Very cool and looks divine with dress shirts, finish the look with jeans and sneakers. You can also roll up your sleeves and wear wayfarers for some sex appeal.  Keep away the cold and look stylish while doing that.

1.      A pair of sneakers. Try a black one, like an all stars converse. They go well with almost everything.

1.      Think accessories; sunglasses, fedoras, scarves, waist coats etc. They create a new look, even with the same clothes.

1.      Inject some colour into your wardrobe. I don’t know where men got this unwritten dress code of monochrome. Try shirts in pink, lilac, purple, lemon and even orange (yes u read right). Just go easy with them though, one bright colour at a time, so you don’t end up looking like a Christmas tree

1.      A beautiful caftan. Good for those time when you have to be all african and all. Linen works perfectly, but think lots of embroidery to give it substance. Sherwanis’ are hot right now, so get a sherwani inspired one.

1.      Dress pants, especially those made with chinos. Very everyday and will match almost every thing you own. Try flat fronts if you are on the slim side and consider getting loopless ones, which are uber cool and look great with suspenders.

1.      A tshirt. Try a round neck or a polo style one. Tshirts look great with jeans and chinos pants, get some in interesting colours and finish up with a statement wrist watch. Perfect for a casual day.
