I wish life came with an eraser

"If wishes were horses beggars will ride."

I wish life came with an eraser. Wow! How wonderful that would be. Bad Good as it may, life is a one way direction with several interjections at various points. Does that sound familiar? No reverse, no brakes, no U-turns all one way speed lanes. I felt how hard that hit you but for sure it is a reality.

I have made mistakes; gross ones for that matter. Some I wished that day never came in my life but sincerely what is the point wallowing in self pity and dwelling our entirety in the best when the future holds more. No point I say.

In as much as it is said that our pasts serve as experiences and lessons to  rightfully deal with  the present and future but I say, "shut yourself from the past that has no relevance for the future." Relevance you might ask but for sure there are those situations that are such. A classic example is a young lady who slept around with men to see herself through university but presently she's totally a changed being. Does it make any sense that she inclines her thought on her ugly days and not focus on more positive uplifting pursuits? That she allows this aspect of her life to rate herself as unworthy and no good? We all know Oprah Winfrey, the most powerful black woman and one of the best TV/super-screen role models presently managing the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) after a prestigious retirement from her TV show which ran for 25 years. You know what? In her early career her employer told her she was no good and could never make a good broadcaster. Thank God that previous employer of hers is still alive today. Let us all assume that those years past Oprah wasn't any good. She never let that deter her. Late Steve Jobs is another fellow who was fired by Apple Inc. but came back years later to assume the position of a CEO.

All these live stories are not meant for pleasantries but to lively up your souls and make you not say NO. Yes I accept we are all humans and that part of us that dwells in self pity is always at work but we all have to task ourselves, keep our heads high with eyes focused on the target, keep moving, never be weighed down, and forget the thoughts that life came with no eraser but with choices to move ahead in all positive pursuits. Move ahead and think ahead, let the dead bury the dead.
